Atlantic Raw Record Breakers Results

The Competition was very successful, Jason Mosher and Tom Nicholls put on a great show as well as raising over $1000 for M.S. Several Island competitors displayed a great show of RAW strength.

North American Powerlifting Championships Results

Kevin Cudmore and John MacDonald competed at the North American powerlifting Championships on August 6th and 7th in Aguadilla Puerto Rico, Cudmore won Gold in the 100kg Sub-Junior and Best over all Sub-Junior. MacDonald won Gold in the Open 125kg and set two North American Records!

North American Powerlifting Championships

Kevin Cudmore and John MacDonald, along with their lovely coach Erinn Quinn, are competing at the North American Powerlifting Championships between Aug 3rd - Aug 7th in Aguadilla Puerto Rico. Both Island lifters make up the entire team Canada and are in a quest for GOLD!!

2010 NewFoundland Provincials

Tom Nicholls competed at the NewFoundland Provincials on June 26th beating a long time personal best in the 110kg class since 2003, totalling 910kgs, earning the right to call himself the best 110kg in the country once again. Good Job Big Poppa with your outstanding performance!!

2010 World Bench Press Championships:

Erin Quinn and John MacDonald competed at the 2010 World Bench Press Championships in Killeen Texas on May 28th and May 29th. Erin Quinn placed 4th with a personal best and provincial record pressing 72.5kgs. John MacDonald placed 9th also pressing a personal best of 257.5kgs just shy of the current biggest bench on the island of 260kgs that Tom Nicholls set in 2005. Results

2010 CPU Nationals:

Congrats to all lifters who performed at the 2010 CPU Nationals, everyone is getting stronger every year! Nathan Conway and JP Richard both took home bronze medals, Kyler Burke, Erinn Quinn and John MacDonald took home silver and Kevin Cudmore, John MacDonald, Heather Ayles, Evan Dunn and Tom Nicholls took home Gold!! Hats off to the team with those awesome performances.

2010 Special Olympic Athlete of the Year

Kolton Doucette was awarded the PEI Special Olympic Athlete of the year award for his powerlifting accomplishments, Kolton is becoming a great competitor in powerlifting. Congratulations Kolton you have made us all proud and its an honor having you a part of the PEI Powerlifting Association.

The 2010 Arnold Classic:

After back to back performances at the 2010 Arnold Classic on March 5th and 6th. John MacDonald won silver and bronze, competing in both the Concrete Raw Challenge and then throwing his gear on for the Quest Invitational the following day!

The 2009 Eastern Canadians:

2009 Eastern Canadians was a huge success. Big Alex Mardell fulfilled his personal goal by making Canadian Powerlifting Union history becoming the first lifter to exceed the 1000Kg total barrier. Many other lifters performed extremely well, setting numerous Canadian and Provincial Records. RESULTS
